Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958
- Night work
- No woman may work in an establishment at night, which means a stretch of at least twelve hours including 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Establishments caring for the sick, infirm, destitute or mentally unfit are exceptedSections 30(1) and 2(1)(xvii)
- Permission for night shifts

- After childbirth
- No woman may be employed, or work, in the six weeks after confinement or miscarriageSection 30(2)
