Punjab sets holidays twice over, and which set applies turns on what the workplace is. A factory or plantation is an industrial establishment under the 1965 Act; a shop or commercial establishment is under the 1958 Act.

National holidays

Four in each calendar year, chosen from a schedule of twenty-five festivals.
