Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958
- On leaving
- An employee discharged, dismissed or leaving during the year is paid wages for the leave not taken, at the same rate as leave earnedSection 14(1)(b)
- During service
- Not yet addedThe Act provides for carry-forward, not encashment: leave not taken is added to next year's leave up to the carry-forward cap
- Pay in advance
- An employee allowed four days' leave or more, or five for a young person, is paid the leave wages before the leave starts if they askSection 15(3)
