Registration

Every shopkeeper or employer applies to the registering authority in the prescribed form, and the certificate is displayed in the shop or establishmentThis comes from the Labour Department's reprint of the Act in the West Bengal Labour Gazette 2011. Its footnotes run to the amending Act of 2002, so an amendment after that would not appear in this copy; and the scan carries a previous reader's yellow highlighting on the page dealing with the recovery of wages. Changes, transfer and closure

A change in the registered particulars is notified within seven days; a transfer of ownership within fifteen days, with the transferee applying afresh within thirty; and winding up within fifteen daysSection 16(4) and (5), with rules 7 and 9 of the 1964 Rules
