West Bengal Shops and Establishments Act, 1963
- Weekly holiday
- Every shop and commercial establishment closes one full day a week, and every person employed gets that day and a half day either side of it as holidaySection 5(1)

- Chosen by the shopkeeper or employer, displayed in a notice in the shop, and not changed more than once a year. The State Government may fix the day for an area by notificationSection 5(3) and (4), with rule 12 of the 1964 Rules — the notice is in Form H, kept for a year
