What it says
Amends the Schedule to the 1979 Act: in item (i) against serial No. 1, 'Not exceeding Rs. 8,500' is replaced by 'Not exceeding Rs. 10,000', and item (ii) with its ₹90 rate is omitted. The schedule in force to 30 September 2026 is therefore nil up to ₹10,000, then ₹110, ₹130, ₹150 and ₹200 a month.
