Chandigarh's own rules · researched
Central notifications are shown in their own panel. Everything below is Chandigarh-specific, researched and not yet checked against an official source — including the overtime cap, which is not yet added.
Chandigarh's shops Act limits were raised in 2025, and its factories were separately exempted in November 2025. The two regimes now sit at the same daily limit by different routes.

- Not yet addedThe 25 June 2024 notification this desk holds fixed it at twice the normal hourly wage. That notification was replaced by one dated 14 August 2025 which this desk does not hold, and the March 2026 amendment substitutes only the cap, not the rate. So the current rate cannot be stated, and the 2024 figure is not carried forward as if it were.

- The rules that apply
- Punjab Factory Rules, 1952 as applicable to UT, ChandigarhNamed in the Labour Commissioner's order of 25 June 2026. That order is expressed to run “till the notification of Chandigarh Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2026”, so on its own face those rules had not been notified when it issued — which is why the factories limits here are still the Factories Act's as exempted, and not the Code's.LD/C-1/2026/OnlinePortal, I/108873/2026
