Is it levied?
Not yet addedChandigarh's law is Punjab's only where the Central Government has extended a Punjab Act to it by notification under section 87 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 (31 of 1966). For the labour welfare fund, the shops Act and contract labour, this desk holds exactly such a notification and cites it. For a profession tax it holds none: no notification extending any profession tax Act to the Union territory was found, and India Code — where this desk would check a jurisdiction's Act list — served its front page but returned an edge error for every search, so not even a nil search was available. Punjab levies a development tax under its own 2018 Act; whether that Act has been extended here is precisely what could not be established, so nothing is asserted and no Punjab figure is shown.Checked 28/09/2026
