Minimum wages
State, zone, skill — shops vs industrial.
These rates applied until 30 September 2026. Revised rates are being added.
All three zones. Highlighted: Zone A — Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, Bhilai-Charoda and Birgaon corporations and 16 km out, the zone chosen above.
Rates including the variable dearness allowance, for 1 April to 30 September 2026. This notification covers 1 April to 30 September 2026 and says so on its face. Nothing has been issued for the period from 1 October 2026, and no pattern has been established for when Chhattisgarh issues a revision — so this page makes no claim about whether the next one will arrive early or late. A reader standing past 30 September should check the Labour Commissioner's own notifications rather than read these figures as current.
These rates covered 1 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 and that period has ended. We looked on 2 October 2026 at shramevjayate.cg.gov.in — landing page and sitemap; its own Acts and Rules link returns 404 and did not find a newer notification. Its currency is unconfirmed: not found is not the same as not issued, so check before relying on the figures below.

The same notification also says
- Basic pay and the variable dearness allowance are published separately and the total is published too, so every figure shown is one the notification states.
- The allowance is flat: ₹3,082 a month and ₹118.54 a day, the same for every grade in every zone.
- The revision follows the six-monthly average All India Consumer Price Index of 424.80 for July to December 2025, on the 2001=100 base. Agriculture is revised separately under notification 960 of the same date, on the 1986-87=100 base, at an index of 1322.
- Zone A is the Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, Bhilai-Charoda and Birgaon municipal corporations and the area up to 16 km beyond their limits, every industrial area and industrial development centre in the State, the Atal Nagar (District Raipur) development authority area, and every factory in the State licensed under the Factories Act, 1948 for 300 or more workers.
- Zone B is the Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Ambikapur, Jagdalpur, Chirmiri and Dhamtari municipal corporations and the area up to 8 km beyond their limits. Zone C is everything left over.
- Each zone step is the same in every grade: ₹260 a month, or ₹10 a day.
- The daily rate is the monthly one on a 26-day basis. Schedule “ख” prints the daily total as a whole rupee — ₹439 where its daily basic and daily allowance add to ₹438.54 — and the printed figure is the one shown. The separate Schedule “ग” for daily-wage workers in government departments divides by 30 instead, and prints both the exact figure and the rounded one.
- Entry 21 of the notification's Appendix “अ” is shops, commercial establishments, residential hotels, restaurants and theatres, so these rates reach a shop by name rather than by inference.
Chhattisgarh's own rules · researched
The table above is from the state's own published minimum wage notification. Everything below is Chhattisgarh-specific, researched and not yet checked against an official source.
Chhattisgarh sets three zones and four grades and revises them every six months. Basic pay and the variable dearness allowance are published separately, and the total is published too. The schedule names shops, so these rates reach a shop directly.
