Madhya Pradesh's fund takes two per-worker amounts every half-year — and sets a floor on what an employer pays in total, whatever its headcount.
- Employee
- ₹10 a half-yearSection 9(2)(3) of the Madhya Pradesh Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982, as the Labour Welfare Board publishes the rates
- Employer, for each worker
- ₹50 a half-yearThe same
- Employer minimum
- ₹2,500 a half-year, whatever the headcountAt ₹50 for each worker the floor is what binds below fifty workers; above that the per-worker amount is the largerThe same
- A wrinkle in the Board's own table
- The Board heads the column “amount payable per year” while every figure in it reads “per half-year”. Both readings are on its page and neither is resolved hereLabour Welfare Board contribution page, read 24 September 2026
- Micro industries are exempt
- Nothing in the Act applies to an establishment or industrial entity classified as a Micro Industry under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006. The State Government may withdraw that exemption, wholly or partly, if satisfied it is required in the interest of workersSection 28, as substituted by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 20 of 2014
- Who else is covered
- Not yet addedThe 1982 Act's own definition of an establishment has not been obtained. The one coverage rule on file turns on MSME classification, which is an investment and turnover test rather than a headcount, so no headcount line is shown
- Registers and returns
- The Government may notify consolidated forms for the registers, reports and returns an employer keeps, and may allow them to be kept in computerised or digital formSection 14-D, inserted by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 20 of 2014
- Who runs it
