What it says
The amending Act that substituted section 28 of the Madhya Pradesh Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982 so that nothing in the Act applies to an establishment or industrial entity classified as a Micro Industry under the MSME Development Act, 2006, with power in the State Government to withdraw that exemption wholly or partly in the interest of workers. It also inserted section 14-D, allowing consolidated forms for registers, reports and returns and their maintenance in computerised or digital form.
What was taken from it
The figures and statements this desk reads off this document, as extracted. Each one is shown on the topic page it belongs to: Labour welfare fund · Madhya Pradesh.
- Board Table Wrinkle
- The Labour Welfare Board's rate table heads its column “amount payable per year” while each figure in it reads “per half-year”. Both are on the Board's page and neither is resolved here.
- Coverage Unknown
- The 1982 Act's own definition of an establishment was not obtained. The only coverage rule on file turns on classification under the MSME Development Act, 2006, which is an investment and turnover test rather than a headcount.
