What it says

Section 14(1) has every employee contribute Rs. 6 a year and every employer Rs. 12 a year for each such employee — annual amounts, where most States here set half-yearly or monthly ones. Section 2(e) defines an establishment by kind and attaches no headcount to any of them, so the fund has no size threshold at all; an employee qualifies on thirty days' continuous employment in twelve months instead. The Board states the Act was brought into force on 26 January 1990.
