The same notification also says

• They apply to all establishments under the Code on Wages, in the employments listed in its Schedules I and II; the grade of each designation is set out in Schedule III.
• Piece-rated and labour-intensive employments — power looms, garments, spinning mills, brick kilns, tobacco and beedi, and handloom weaving — are to be fixed separately.
• Trainees get 75% of their category's rate, never less than the unskilled rate.
• Male, female, transgender and physically challenged employees doing identical or equivalent work are paid the same.
• Where existing notified wages are higher than these, a further 10% is added; wages already higher continue to be paid.
• Work on weekly rest days or public holidays, and work beyond 8 hours a day, is paid at twice the normal rate.
• Pay is rounded to the nearest 50 paise and paid into the employee's bank account.
• Where workers are engaged through a contractor, the principal employer is responsible for these rates being paid.
