Eligible if wages ≤ ₹21,000. If wages exceed ₹7,000, bonus is computed on ₹7,000 or the floor wage, whichever is higher.

Monthly wages: on or before the 7th of the succeeding month. Electronic credit plus a wage slip is the clean path.

Telangana-specific updates

Telangana minimum wages revised from 1 June 2026
G.O.Ms.No.6 of 30.05.2026, under the Code on Wages, 2019, sets basic monthly rates for all establishments in three zones: ₹16,000 to ₹20,000 in municipal corporations and ₹14,000 to ₹18,000 in rural areas. A cost-of-living allowance is to be notified from 1 April and 1 October each year; none has been issued yet. The order is subject to pending cases in the High Court.

Telangana PT: nil up to ₹15,000 a month
Salary and wage earners pay ₹150 a month from ₹15,001 to ₹20,000 and ₹200 a month above ₹20,000, under the First Schedule of the Telangana Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1987, as the Commercial Taxes Department publishes it.
Act of 1987
Telangana LWF: ₹2 employee, ₹5 employer a year
Section 10 of the Telangana Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1987 sets the contributions at ₹2 a year from each employee and ₹5 a year from the employer for each employee. Establishments with twenty or more persons are covered.
