- Not yet addedNeither a profession tax Act nor a labour welfare fund Act appears among the forty Acts and Rules the Labour Department lists as in force in the Union territory, and India Code — where this desk would check a jurisdiction's Act list — served its front page but returned an edge error for every search. An omission from a department's list is not a statement that no such law exists, and Tamil Nadu's profession tax and welfare fund are not read across to Puducherry.Checked 28/09/2026
