One statewide rate for each grade; the notification sets no zones.

Shops and establishments, per month, in force from 1 April 2026. These rates come from Notification No. F.22(74)-LAB/ENF/MW/SHOPS/2022/660-77 of 30 April 2026, one of twenty minimum wage notifications the Labour Department issued that day, each for a different scheduled employment. They are payable from 1 April 2026. Tripura sets no statewide minimum wage and no zones: what determines the rate is which of the twenty-one employments the work falls in, and then the grade. The variable dearness allowance is revised half-yearly on the six-monthly average Consumer Price Index, so a further revision is expected on the index for January to June 2026; no end date is stated in the notification and none is invented here.

All twenty minimum wage notifications are dated 30 April 2026, are computed on the same index period, and take effect from 1 April 2026. A twenty-first instrument, for the OTPC power project at Palatana, is a memorandum continuing a settlement rather than a wage fixation, and is dated 22 June 2026.
The monthly rate is what the notification prints. A daily rate is arrived at by dividing the monthly rate by 26 and rounding to the next rupee — the notification's own rule, so this desk states the rule rather than printing a daily figure the instrument does not.
The overtime rate is double the ordinary rate of wages.
Shops and establishments fixes three grades. There is no highly skilled rate for this employment, and none is shown.
Tripura's private security guard notification goes further than the rest: it states that the minimum rates apply to employees of contractors too, that men and women are to get the same rates for the same or similar work, and that the provident fund contribution is calculated on the monthly minimum rate.
Loading and un-loading carries its own conditions — an eight-hour maximum including a thirty-minute break, no more than six consecutive days, a maximum load of 50 kg, and a head-load distance of 20 metres extendable to 50 with a trolley.
Domestic workers are the only employment on this desk, in any state, fixed by the hour.

Twenty of these are notifications of the Labour Department dated 30 April 2026, each for one scheduled employment, all computed on the six-monthly average Consumer Price Index for 1 July to 31 December 2025 — an increase of 59 points — and all payable from 1 April 2026. The twenty-first, for the OTPC power project at Palatana, is a memorandum continuing a settlement and is marked as such. Tripura publishes the working behind each rate, not just the result, so every figure below is shown with the basic rate and the two allowance components the instrument prints beside it. The scanned document has no usable text layer — it renders ₹887.34 as "Rs88 7.I4" — so every figure here was read from the page rendered at 300 dots per inch, and four were re-read at 600. Three things in the set do not behave, and each is disclosed at the row where it occurs rather than in a footnote.

What the instrument publishes: Basic wage + previous VDA + present VDA = totalThe total is the sum of the three, with fifty paise or above rounded to the next rupee. Why there are three of those and not one: Not yet addedThese are three distinct rules for three distinct sets of employments, not a contradiction. Most schedules publish a monthly rate and tell you how to get a daily one from it; loading and un-loading publishes a daily rate and a monthly one built from thirty days, because it pays four days' leave at the working-day rate; and the OTPC memorandum publishes both and uses twenty-six. This desk states the rule that applies rather than printing a converted figure the instrument does not.
