Kerala shops minimum wages: basic rates from ₹9,330 to ₹8,280 a month
G.O.(P) No.196/2016/LBR sets monthly basic wages for shops and commercial establishments by class and grade across the state, with a dearness allowance of ₹26 a month for each point the district's price index is above 240, and ₹200 a month more in municipal and corporation areas. A revision was proposed in February 2026 and is not yet final.

Kerala shops welfare fund: ₹50 employee, ₹50 employer a month
The Kerala Shops and Commercial Establishments Workers Welfare Fund Board collects ₹50 a month from each worker and ₹50 a month from the employer for each worker; the employer pays both. Shops with two or more persons also fall under the Kerala Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1975, and which fund applies to them is not settled.

Kerala Labour Welfare Fund: ₹45 employee, ₹45 employer a half-year
The Kerala Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2021, as passed by the Assembly, raises section 15(1) contributions to ₹45 each per half-year from 16 January 2020, replacing the 2020 ordinance. The assented Act and its Gazette text have not been retrieved.
